The Down Payment Assistance Program provides a portion of the
amount of money needed to make a down payment on the
purchase of a home. Funds utilized are in conjunction with the
SHIP Program.
How much money can I get?
>Borrower must contribute $500 of
their own funds.
>Maximum grant amount $30,000.00.
>Closing costs or home
rehabilitation costs exceeding
borrowers' $500 contribution can
come from balance of down
payment from maximum grant.
>Any funds remaining from
maximum $30,000 grant can be
used for homeowner rehabilitation
only.
How do I qualify?
Your annual gross household
income cannot exceed the
program's maximum income limits
based on family size. (*see charts

Are there any restrictions as to where
the property must be located?
No. The property can be located
anywhere within Charlotte County
including Port Charlotte, Punta Gorda
and Englewood.
